WinPlaceGo Quick Start Guide

There are 3 dashboards currently available on WinPlaceGo, each optimized for a different purpose:

  1. Results Dashboard: Offers simplified filters and statistics, optimized for reporting on your personal wagering results. This dashboard allows you to easily filter and report out only on the data contained in your results files – it does not map your results against Equibase data
  2. Insights Dashboard: Maps the race information in your wagering history against details from Equibase chart data, enabling unparalleled visibility into your strengths and weaknesses as a horseplayer. Filter your results by track, race conditions, restrictions, surface, bet type and more.
  3. Cohort Analysis Dashboard: Enables detailed analysis of your results in a table format. This dashboard includes mapping to Equibase data, and allows you to define the set of filters from the Insights Dashboard, and the compare your results within a given dimension. For example, you can compare your results across different odds ranges within a given set of race conditions, or do a side by side analysis of your results betting on different jockeys or trainers.

Instructions

1) Log in WinPlaceGo.

2) Download your results history from the ADWs / betting sites of your choice. Each site has its own process – see individual site instructions at the link below:

3) Click “Upload Data” on the top bar of the website. Select or drag-and-drop your results file to upload it into the WinPlaceGo database

  • Our data engine automatically standardizes, combines, and deduplicates your betting histories across ADWs, and then maps your files against detailed Equibase race charts data
  • Getting an error message? Check out our detailed FAQs here

4) Once your data is uploaded, navigate to the dashboard of your choice by clicking on the links across the top of the page (Results, Insights, or Cohort Analysis). On the dashboard page, you will see a variety of summary statistics, charts, and graphs.

  • To filter the data displayed, use the filter options located on the top panel of the page. Select the desired options from the filters and click the "Update" button. You will see the charts and graphs update to reflect the selected filters.
  • If you have any questions or need help, review the FAQs help documentation or contact support.

Additional Information

  • Multi-race Exotic Wagers are mapped to the first leg in the Equibase database. Be careful when filtering race-specific conditions for your multi-race bets, as the filters will only apply to the first leg. Stay tuned for a new Multi-race Explorer feature coming soon.
  • WinPlaceGo standardizes the names of tracks and wagers from across ADWs (e.g., consolidating “Indiana Grand” and “Horseshoe Indiana”) in order to consolidate your betting history from across ADWs. This includes standardizing track names for thoroughbred, harness, and international tracks. We constantly update our database for changes in track names and new wagers, but if you ever spot an error, please contact support, and we will update our track mapping ASAP.
  • Equibase data mapping is available for all tracks for which Equibase chart data is available, and is generally updated within 72 hours of availability. Your wager history for tracks that are not available in Equibase charts is still included in all dashboards. Where chart data is not available, data fields will read as “Unavailable.”
